Welcome

While nanomaterials have been a part of our everyday life for quite some time, the past two decades have witnessed a fast growth of the nanotechnology sector. There is currently an estimated 1300 consumer products on the market. However, concerns about the effects of nano-enabled products on our environment have surfaced more recently and the influence of these products on environmental processes is still only partially elucidated.

This conference will be the place for an interdisciplinary audience to present and discuss current research on these issues. This meeting will be the 8th edition of a successful annual conference series whose most recent meetings were held in Clemson 2010, London 2011 and Banff 2012.

A pre-conference workshop focusing on laboratory based X-ray techniques will be offered July 2nd (see program)
